Creative Assembly’s award-winning team behind Alien: Isolation are exploring new frontiers with a brand-new and exciting First-Person Tactical Shooter IP.

As a Trainee Environment Artist, you will be a versatile Artist indicating strong skills and abilities with a strong passion to continue learn and develop them here at CA.

The traineeships will run for one year onsite at our studio in Horsham, West Sussex.

These traineeships are paid placements and all applicants must have the Right to Work in the UK.

Key Responsibilities

As a Trainee Environment Artist on the project working closely with your supervisor, you will be involved in many aspects of environment design, from creating assets, material creation to level construction. You will learn to work within set time constraints and to hit the quality benchmark expected of the project.

Knowledge, Skill and Experience Knowledge
  • Good understanding and ability in 3ds Max/Maya/Modo
  • Experience with Substance Designer, Painter and Photoshop
  • Knowledge of games development pipeline/environment/engines
  • Self-motivated, good communicator, positive can-do attitude, team-player
  • Love of visual environment creation
  • Passion to grow and develop new skills and abilities
  • 2d concepting or technical Art skills always a plus
  • Experience with ZBrush
  • Experience with Marvellous Designer
