QA Technician - Fixed Term Contract (12 months)

We have a fantastic opportunity for an individual who has a real passion for testing and quality assurance, to join our development team for an exciting new IP title, within the Total War Universe.

You will be working on an innovative Total War title with a small but expert team of developers. You will be able to demonstrate a strong work ethic, have a high attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

You will be working as part of an Embedded QA Team, working directly with the development team. You will be testing applications and games, in order to locate and report issues across different hardware platforms, including PC/Mac, and iOS/Android platforms. Testing product components and features, providing clear, concise feedback to line manager, producers and development team is a key element of this role.

As QA Technician on the project, you will be creating and updating of test cases for specific areas or features. You will also review the bug tracking lifecycle, from discovery to resolution, highlighting key issues to development team, Senior QA Technicians. Day to day, you will be testing bug fixes to determine if they are valid and complete and actively participate and contribute to Agile team activities and discussion.

Knowledge, Skill and Experience
 
Essential
  • Previous experience within an embedded QA team at a game development studio
  • Familiarity with bug tracking software and software development tools
  • Detail orientated, with strong observational and analytical skills
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively and openly
  • Understanding of contemporary Agile workflows and processes
  • Actively help and assist colleagues and maintain a ‘can do’ attitude
Desirable
  • Previous experience working with title developed in Unity
  • Experience with applications such as Atlassian’s JIRA, Confluence, and/or Gurock's TestRail
  • Avid player of mobile games and games in general
  • Interest in History
  • Experience with testing of mobile games
  • Adaptability and willingness to improve processes and own development
