Build Engineer - New IP

We have an excellent opportunity for a developer to join the team as a Build Engineer working on our new Tactical FPS IP.

You will play a vital role in the development and release of major AAA titles. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining the systems that package and deploy builds, run tests and other automated tasks. The Build Engineer is a nexus of information on the project and you will need to be open, friendly and approachable with the ability to collaborate and communicate with developers across the team from all disciplines.

You will be crucial in keeping the development team working without blockages and as efficiently as possible. So, to be successful in this role, you will be forward-thinking, pro-active and autonomous in your problem-solving and communication.

Key Responsibilities

As a build engineer on the project, day to day you will be responsible for developing backend infrastructure for the build pipeline and maintaining the continuous integration and testing systems. You will be working with other build engineers in planning and creating long term solutions for version control and infrastructure. All the while you will be providing support to the development team for software and build issues as they arise.

Knowledge, Skill and Experience

Essential
  • Ability to design complex, in-depth systems and divide them into manageable tasks
  • Forward thinker and problem-solver with the drive to seek out and acquire information
  • Approachable, friendly and confident in decision making
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A solid technical foundation - e.g. Computer Science / Maths degree or equivalent
Desirable
  • Experience using UE4
  • Good working knowledge of version control software – e.g. Perforce or Git
  • Experience in object-oriented programming - ideally C# or Python
  • Familiarity with any of the following languages would be a plus: C++, Java, Batch, PowerShell
  • Administering CI systems such as Jenkins or Teamcity
  • Experience with Database systems such as MongoDB, SQL or Elastic Search
  • Experience with post launch title support
