Mike Simpson on The Creative Assembly
Our friends at Eurogamer recently paid us a visit to check out the studio and learn about our recent projects, such as Fall of the Samurai and Total War: Battles.
Mike Simpson, Creative Director for the Total War team, spoke at some length to Eurogamer about where we are as a studio, our history and where we see ourselves going in the future.
In the interview, Mike explains how the unique blend of turn-based and real-time strategy came about:
“We had this idea that maybe you could build a battlefield with curved hills – and no-one had ever done curves before – and put the camera through the eyes of the general. And it snowballed from that.”
If you’re keen to find out the full story, you can find the full interview on Eurogamer.
